For 2-1/2 months, they’ve been preparing with intensive Bible study, weekly meetings, Scripture memorization, journaling, and preparation of their personal testimonies, among other things.  As a last step, they were asked to fast for seven days, not from food, but from something else important to them.

In the words of the youth pastor, here’s what they’re wanting to accomplish:

* Partnering with Adventures in Missions and the local church
* Various outreaches, including prayer walks, working with kids in need, homeless care ministries, El Train Ministry and more
* Building relationship and planting seeds of Christ’s love

Walking the streets of Chicago, ministering to the homeless and whoever else God brings across their paths, will take them out of their comfort zones, that’s for certain.  It won’t be a walk in the park, and it certainly is a long way from the halls of Northwood High.

We pray for God to accomplish big things through our kids.  We pray for God to accomplish big things IN our kids.
